Experiential Discovery
The University of Michigan has a strong history of complementing graduate and postdoctoral training with a range of certificate and dual degree programs. These structured programs allow for skill and knowledge building in fields outside of one’s PhD or postdoctoral research. Newly established collaborations and other independent efforts from our team are expanding the scope of experiential learning beyond just traditional certificates and internships. While the timing and completion requirements for such opportunities can vary, our primary goal is make opportunities accessible and realistic to our communities. Students and postdocs are encouraged to work with our team in consultation with their program or thesis advisors when considering these opportunities.
