Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program

PREP is part of the training efforts of the NIH’s Diversity in the Biomedical Workforce initiative and is supported by the NIH Division of Training, Workforce Development, and Diversity. UM PREP is a University wide program that encourages applications from underrepresented minorities who hold a recent baccalaureate degree in a biomedically relevent area of study to pursue a research doctorate. Through this program, our PREP trainees have the opportunity to work alongside one of our faculty to strengthen their research skills and increase their competitiveness in their pursuit of a Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences.
